Buy To Let Abroad – Sun or City?
Or perhaps both?!

A buy to let abroad could be the best way forward for property investors right now who are prepared to look at markets other than in the UK.

One problem I find with many first-time property investors is that they're blind to the hundreds of opportunities out there.

Take a buy-to-let abroad for example. When you think of ‘abroad' you instantly think of somewhere sunnier and hotter than the UK, and with a climate like this I don't blame you!

But the real deals, where you can make the most money, aren't always the places you would immediately think of as holiday destinations. Read my Overseas page for a great insight into the overseas buy to let market – you may find I get you to re-think your ideas!

Investing in city locations is often going to be a more sensible option than a ‘sun' location because you're appealing to the domestic market as well as to tourists. Read my views on Germany and the current opportunities in Berlin as a great example of an overseas opportunity.

But what about a buy-to-let which has the appeal of both the sun and the city?

Well, that would have to be Dubai!

Remember, a buy to let abroad doesn't have to be in Spain. After all, about 1 million Brits already own a property in Spain so there's just too much competition for it to be a great investment property for you.
