Property Investing Bulgaria In The Village Locations

People who want to buy a second home and are priced out of the more popular traditional markets of Spain and France are looking for property investing in Bulgaria.
Why?
Because you can find a house for around £10,000 (albeit in the middle of nowhere). However, be prepared for major renovations that cost, on average, £30,000. Five years ago, similar properties were on the market for £1,000.
There are literally hundreds of empty houses in the villages, because after the collapse of communism, Bulgaria's market economy initially suffered many social and economic problems.
Many people lost their jobs, and the young, who could not see any opportunities in Bulgaria, decided to emigrate to more stable countries in search of employment.
The villages were deserted, as only the oldest generation remained to work in agriculture and farming.
If you don’t mind learning the Bulgarian language, dealing with the Bulgarian bureaucracy, and enduring freezing cold weather in the winter, then you may feel at home here. Otherwise, I suggest that you consider property investing in Bulgaria elsewhere.
